The Brazilian Foundry Association - ABIFA was founded on April 25, 1969, inside the facilities of Foundry Tupy, in São Paulo, by a small group of businessmen. Today, ABIFA represents the foundry segment among the various publics in the sector. The commitment that initially focused only on the technological development of the foundry companies was expanded with a national performance, emphasizing political, economic and social issues aimed at the defense of the Sector. The entity acts to benefit this market by creating new services, being a channel where information circulates that enable an intense participation of interested companies in the entire production chain. Encouraging the exchange of ideas, identification of problems, permanent debate and constructive criticism are part of the profile of the association. It is also an important pole of diffusion of foundry culture through fairs, events, courses and seminars.
